Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2010

-the STANDARD CHARTERED MARATHON SINGAPORE held annually!






Reasons why you should should take part in this event!

1. You can keep yourself healthy and fit by taking part in this running event.

2. You can run around the whole of Singapore, almost half of the Singapore at least!

3. There are prizes to be won even up to the 10th position in the full marathon!

4. You can make friends though this event.

5. There are friendly volunteers at different stops to provide you with drinks and moral support to cheer you on and motivate you!

6. There are well equipped first aiders and securities around the race routes.








There are different categories so you do not need to worry that you're not able to finish the long full marathon!

All races ends at St. Andrew's Road ( the Padang)




For the 2010 Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore, the organiser has changed the routes taking marathon runners from all categories through every scenic routes of Sinagpore!

Full marathon starts at the heart of the most popular hangout place in Sinagpore- Orchard Road at the T-juction after Ngee Ann City. Runners also get to pass by other attractive and popular places such as Clark Quay, Chinatown, Sinagpore's durian -Esplanade, Singapore's very own Flyer and the newly built Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort!

Half marathon would also be as exciting as it would be flag of at Sentosa Bridge!

10km Men/Women/Wheelchair marathon runners would be to the Central Business District, turning back to city's Fullerton Hotel and to Esplanade Bridge which also has a scenic view. And next up wold be key landmarks of Sinagpore on the Marina Bay before ending at Pandang!



The most attractive part of the race would be the Prizes!



There are up to ten positions to be won for the Full marathon.

Prize starts from $150 to $55000 depending on the categories, whether it is the Open, Sinagpore or Veteran category.





For the Half marathon and 10 km run, there are top three places to be won!

From $1000 to $5000.







10km run's prices would range from $1000 to $2000 for top three spots for all three categories!









For Ekiden, top 3 teams will win themselves $1250 to as much as $2500!

OKAY, we're back!

Moving on to the high society brands, love and desired by all of us, we Singapore have these in Orchard Road too=)

These high society brands are of course not having sales=)
But what harm can it do? We ladies always calls it an investment!

Take a walk down Orchard Road and you will be amazed at the wide array and variety of products and shopping centres found there.
Shopping will of course be amazing and enjoyable as well!

Orchard road has its own train station which is Orchard NS22
and it is very accessible!

Next stop will be the suburbs, TAMPINES!

Other then fashion, while i suppose the men are more interested in electronics and high tech stuff. Which brings us to COURTS at Tampines!

At there, they also have discounts and sales on electronic items and gadgets!
From, home entertainment, computer and games, mobile phone, camera, home appliances, furniture and bedding! It will be suitable for the whole family after all!

COURTS at Tampines do not have a direct train station, but it has free shuttle bus from train stations like BEDOK EW5, TAMPINES EW2 AND PASIR RIS EW1
